No. Most of the people who book with us have never surfed before. Beginner lessons start on the sand with the basics and then move into the white water, where most people stand up on their first day. If you already surf, tell us your level when you book and we put you in an intermediate group or a coaching session.
Around 2 hours in total, including the briefing and warm-up. Surfboard, wetsuit and insurance are included in every lesson. Bring a towel, swimwear, sunscreen and water.
We choose the beach on the day, depending on the swell, the wind and the tide: Foz do Lizandro, Ribeira d’Ilhas, São Julião or Praia do Sul. Ericeira is Europe’s only World Surfing Reserve, so there is almost always a beach working for your level.
Yes, pick-up and drop-off in the Ericeira area are free. Choose “Pick-up” when you book and we collect you about 15 minutes before the lesson. You can also meet us directly at the school on Rua de Santo António 18A.
Book online in under a minute: pick a day and a time, choose group or private, and confirm. You can pay by card online or in cash at the beach after the lesson. We confirm every booking by WhatsApp.
If the ocean conditions are not safe for your level, we move your lesson to another day at no cost. If you need to change or cancel, just tell us as early as you can on WhatsApp.
